Dubai World Trade Centre apartments receive a makeover
Three apartment blocks that have stood in close proximity to the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) since 1979 have received a significant facelift.Known as The Apartments, the accommodation has always been popular among businesspeople thanks to its convenient location right next to the Trade Centre Metro station.This means people who are visiting the emirate for a conference have easy access to the city's airport, exhibition halls and amenities in the centre of town.According to AMEinfo, the refurbishment has already gone down well with international corporate guests and bookings have been extremely strong.Indeed, the facility was full for the recent Arab Health event and is also completely booked out for the upcoming Gulfood mega-show.With foreign visitors spending 12-times more money than local conference attendees, it is important that the DWTC continues to make them feel as welcome as possible.General manager of The Apartments Issam Nizam said the makeover has cemented Dubai's position as an international hub for exhibitions and conferences."As our business and venue continues to grow each year, with everything ranging from mega trade shows and international congresses to live events, our aim is to provide a well-rounded visitor experience for our guests," he remarked."Ultimately, our guests are not only visitors of DWTC but also of Dubai, and we will continue to provide world-class infrastructure that welcomes our guests and highlights the true hospitality of the emirate."The Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre is set for another busy year in 2013, with all manner of shows from across a range of sectors expected to take place.There have been some very important construction exhibitions in recent months, while the Global Airport Leaders' Forum is another major event to look out for.It will be held in the emirate on May 7th and 8th and influential figures from the aviation industry will descend on the city for the conference.This will no doubt prove to be another busy few days for staff at The Apartments.
