We are delighted to be able to report that we have been working with Wyndham, the appointed operator for Sky Central under their TRYP brand in order to ensure that Sky Central becomes and iconic addition to the Tecom skyline. To that end we have determined that the addition of four extra floors will help in that objective. This will help to give the “TRYP by Wyndham” becomes a worthy launch project for this important new brand in Dubai and the UAE.
In order for us to achieve this objective our design consultants have had to change the full set of contract drawings and resubmit them to the relevant authorities in order to obtain the required, revised approvals. During the submittal process we have been focusing on preparing the site for construction of the typical floors and have recently completed the construction of the two, large podium levels as well as the necessary below ground works. We are now ready to commence with the construction of the typical floors which can be constructed at the rate of 2- 3 floors per month.
The first of the necessary approvals has already been obtained from the Tecom zoning department and the revised building permit with the 4 additional floors included is expected to be obtained in the coming few days.
Visitors to the site will see some major changes in the coming 10 days or so as we install a new and larger tower crane that can cope with the additional height, an enhanced visitor Centre for our clients and rapid construction progress as the building starts to “reach for the sky”!
Design Progress: Integration of the operator (TRYP) concept throughout the hotel is being carefully considered so as to ensure that the interior design is done in line with their branding.
