Dubai’s Global Village to open landmark 30th season in October

Dubai’s Global Village will open its 30th season on 15 October, with organisers promising an expanded line-up of cultural pavilions, shopping, dining and entertainment. The season will run until 10 May 2026, according to Dubai Media Office.
This year’s milestone instalment marks the culmination of a journey that began on Dubai Creek in 1997, when Global Village was little more than a cluster of kiosks showcasing crafts and food from a handful of countries.
Three decades on, it has grown into a six-month cultural and entertainment extravaganza, drawing millions of residents and tourists alike. Season 29, which closed in May 2025, set a new attendance record with 10.5 million visitors.
The event is also a major draw for international travellers. According to the Dubai International Visitor Survey, Global Village welcomed 6.36 million overseas visitors in 2024, up from 5.48 million in 2023 and 4.3 million in 2022, underscoring its role in Dubai’s tourism economy.
Fernando Eiroa, CEO of Dubai Holding Entertainment, said Global Village’s enduring appeal reflects its reputation as “one of the emirate’s leading and most inclusive destinations.”
New attractions and anniversary highlights
Season 30 is expected to feature more than 90 international pavilions, 3,500 retail outlets, 250 dining options, and 200 rides, games and attractions.
Thousands of live shows, fireworks displays and concerts will return, alongside cultural performances at each pavilion. Organisers say the 30th anniversary programme will include special activations to mark the milestone year.
Global Village has also become a culinary destination in its own right. Visitors can look forward to the return of popular stalls such as:
- La Birria (birria tacos)
- Turkish Baked Potato
- Come Fry With Me (loaded fries)
- Luqaymat Al Freej (Emirati dumplings)
- Cocomango (mango sticky rice)
- Nash Hot Chicken
- Dip It Burger
- Chicago (deep dish pizza)
- Croffe (ice cream croissant sandwiches)
