Vogue Fashion Dubai Experience to kick off soon

A major fashion event will soon be taking place in Dubai. 

From October 30th to November 1st, the second edition of the Vogue Fashion Dubai Experience will be held at the Armani Hotel Dubai.

The central point of the event will be a series of talks on a number of different fashion issues, including 'New Generation in Fashion', 'The Strength of Tradition' and 'From Denim to Red Carpet'. 

Several 'A-list' fashion celebrities will be speaking, including Franca Sozzani, Suzy Menkes, Alberta Ferretti and Roberto Cavalli.

The event will also feature a fashion show at the Dubai Mall Fashion Catwalk on October 30th. Eight international designers will be showcasing their designs, with Bushra Badri and Amira Al Khaja of the UAE presenting the N°3 collection.

This will be followed by the International Talents Showcase, which will see the work of 20 upcoming designers from across the world displayed between October 31st and November 1st.

A further two shows will take place as part of the event. The Italian Way will showcase 80 of the most important Italian fashions through five key themes: prints, red carpet, embroidery and appliques, black and casual. Meanwhile, the Who is on Next show will promote some of the newest fashion talents to emerge from the European nation.

The Vogue Fashion Dubai Experience is further evidence of the emirate's popularity as a leading destination for meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) tourism. This was discussed by Christopher Hewett, a senior consultant with TRI Hospitality Consulting, earlier this year. 

He told The National: 'The MICE market is strong on the back of Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing striving to get a lot of major international and regional conferences to be held in Dubai and the biggest driver is the Dubai World Trade Centre and the exhibition centre.

'The recovery within the region and in certain pockets around the world has also helped.'
