New five-star hotel lined up for Palm Jumeirah
The exclusive Palm Jumeirah region of Dubai is set to welcome yet another five-star hotel complex.Bosses at Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas have confirmed the firm will open an impressive 293-room facility in September 2013.The Anantara Dubai Palm Jumeirah Resort & Spa is the company's first foray into the Dubai market, although it does already operate three hotels in nearby Abu Dhabi.Chairman and chief executive officer at Minor International - which owns Anantara - William Heinecke is looking forward to the launch date later this year."We are excited to announce our first Anantara property in Dubai which is a significant milestone for Minor," he remarked."This new resort strengthens our footprint in the key strategic market of the UAE and I am confident it will greatly contribute to our success there."The Palm Jumeirah is one of the most popular and upmarket areas of Dubai and any investor hoping to open a hotel in the region will need to ensure the property is extra special.According to leaders at Anantara, the new resort will feature 11,000 sq m of lagoon pools, as well as 12 treatment rooms, a fitness studio and two tennis courts.In addition to this, there will be a ballroom capable of holding 300 people and six themed restaurants and bars.With so many amenities, the resort is likely to prove extremely popular when it eventually opens its doors.Visitor numbers soared in Dubai in 2012 and hotel room rates continued to rise sharply as a result.More foreign investors are realising that there is a lot of money to be made in this particular segment of the property sector - a point emphasised by a recent study by Jones Lang LaSalle.The real estate specialist said Dubai's hotel industry went from strength to strength last year and this trend is likely to continue in 2013.Room rates are expected to rise by as much as ten per cent in the next 12 months, as more people plan overnight stays in the emirate.The First Group can help you find available properties for sale in Dubai
