Movenpick Hotels & Resorts opens 5th Dubai property
Movenpick Hotels & Resorts has opened a new property in the Al Mamzar area of Deira - Dubai's historical centre.The company already has four hotels in the popular Middle Eastern city, including Ibn Battuta Gate, Jumeirah Beach, Bur Dubai and Deira.This latest addition contains 180 superior and deluxe rooms, as well as a number of one and two-bedroom hotel apartment suites.Bosses at the firm were keen to increase their presence in Deira, which they feel is a vibrant part of Dubai.The district is in close proximity to Dubai International Airport, Dubai Creek, Sharjah and the local ports and trading zones. Due to its convenient location, hotels in the area regularly boast occupancy rates upwards of 80 per cent.Movenpick chiefs also confirmed that a sixth hotel in Jumeirah Lake Towers will open later in the year."In addition to being the only international hotel company in Al Mamzar, we look forward to differentiate the hotel by providing the Swiss quality, value and five-star service which Movenpick is renowned for," Chadi Gedeon, general manager of Movenpick Hotel Apartments The Square remarked.The company's Dubai assets have been performing well of late and its four existing hotels in the city enjoyed occupancy rates of 86 per cent in 2012.Movenpick is not the only company to report a solid upturn in demand in the past 12 months or so.Recent studies have shown that visitor numbers are rising all the time and hoteliers have been able to increase their room rates as a result.Many travellers are attracted to the emirate's amazing shopping centres and this has not gone unnoticed among property developers.More and more hotels are now being built right next to the largest retail zones in the world and research recently undertaken by Reed Travel Exhibitions showed that 276 hotels and apartments in Dubai are less than 2km away from a mega mall.With even more people expected to visit the city in 2013, it is no surprise that property investments in Dubai are very attractive at the moment.The First Group can help you find apartments for sale in Dubai
