Hilton to run new hotel on Jumeirah Beach

Leaders at Hilton Worldwide have announced that the firm will open a new hotel in Dubai later this year.The organisation confirmed the 110-suite DoubleTree by Hilton Dubai will be situated in the plush Jumeirah Beach Residence district - which is one of the most exclusive and upmarket parts of the city.A statement released by the hotel company suggested the resort will be 24 storeys high and could be open in late 2013.Rudi Jagersbacher, president of Hilton Worldwide Middle East & Africa, said the new building will "perfectly complement" the firm's three other hotels in the emirate."Dubai continues to be a key market for us and its ongoing appeal as one of the Gulf Co-operation Council's most attractive destinations is a major factor in expanding our city-wide presence," he remarked.The DoubleTree by Hilton Dubai will offer all of the amenities people have come to expect from the Hilton brand, but will also provide guests with mesmerising views across the Arabian Gulf.It will feature two restaurants, a pool bar, lobby area and a late night spot."We look forward to opening the DoubleTree by Hilton Dubai Jumeirah Beach and becoming an active and valuable member of the local community," commented John Greenleaf, global head of DoubleTree by Hilton.This is certainly not the only exciting new hotel development to go ahead in the UAE this year.Hoteliers have reported a significant upturn in bookings in the past 12 months or so, as more and more people visit the emirate.As a result, average room rates have increased dramatically in the last year and there has been a lot of interest from people who are looking for new property investments in Dubai.The Anantara Dubai Palm Jumeirah Resort and Spa is another new complex that will increase the city's profile.Like the DoubleTree by Hilton Dubai, it is expected to open towards the back end of 2013 and it will be located on the popular Palm Jumeirah.Looking for new properties in Dubai?
