Dubai is gearing up for another exciting summer season with a range of promotions designed to entice international visitors to the city

With a series of exciting incentives planned for international visitors, Dubai is aiming to flip the traditional summer slowdown in 2018, and ensure the city remains one of the world’s busiest tourism destinations during the warmer months.

Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) set to entice

22 June – 4 August

The annual summer sale and events extravaganza is back for another exciting year in 2018, bigger and better than ever.

This year’s event will offer keen shoppers discounts of up to 75 percent at retail outlets across the city

DSS 2018 will launch on 22 June with a mega 12-hour sale being staged across select retail outlets at shopping centres including Mall of the Emirates, with discounts ranging from 25-90 percent.

On 23 June, the daily Deal of the Day promotion kicks off with major discounts on everything from fashion to homewares at select retail outlets across the city.

For visitors to Dubai during the summer months, the Dubai Pass offers up to 60 percent discounts on more than 30 attractions across the city, including theme parks such as IMG Worlds of Adventure, Wild Wadi Waterpark and Bollywood Parks Dubai.

My Emirates Pass offers stellar summer discounts

Emirates is offering customers flying with the airline to Dubai exclusive discounts this summer.

The airline says the ‘My Emirates Pass’ initiative turns the Emirates boarding pass into an exclusive membership card, giving travellers offers and discounts at more than 250 restaurants, retail stores, leisure facilities and tourist attractions across the UAE.

Highlights include 50 percent off La Perle by Dragone tickets, 20 percent off Legoland Dubai, Bollywood Parks Dubai and IMG World of Adventures tickets respectively, and similar discounts at other popular tourism attractions including Ski Dubai, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi and Yas Waterworld.

Guests can also treat themselves to discounted treatments at some of Dubai’s finest spas located at the likes of Armani Hotel and Al Maha Desert Resort.

Participating retailers include Decathlon, Old Navy and Sunglass Hut.

“My Emirates Pass is the best way to explore Emirates' hub Dubai and the rest of the United Arab Emirates,” says Mohammad Al Hashimi, Vice President, Commercial Products Dubai, Emirates airline.

Dubai is one of the world’s most vibrant cities, with a diverse array of experiences to suit every taste. The city has a growing list of new attractions and world-class facilities, giving visitors something new to explore whether it’s their first time or a return trip.”

The promotion is available to all passengers flying with Emirates to Dubai between June 1 and August 31.

Beat the summer heat and take your exercise workouts indoors this summer at Dubai Sports World. Located at Dubai World Trade Centre, the venue features more than 25,000 square metres of air-conditioned floorspace – the largest space of its kind in the UAE – and a huge range of activities for participants and spectators.
