Action-packed Dubai Summer Surprises line-up revealed
Dubai’s long-running and highly anticipated summer festival is back for another exciting season.
The 20th edition of Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS), which kicks off on 9 July, promises an exciting line-up of activities for the entire family.
Running for a whopping 43 days, DSS will offer something for everyone, from kids’ entertainment to amazing shopping deals.
Little ones will love the fun character shows taking place at a number of shopping malls around Dubai, which range from My Little Pony to the Trash Pack performances.
An innovative installation based on the popular Julia Donaldson character The Gruffalo will also feature at The Dubai Mall.
And while the kids are kept entertained, their parents can enjoy exclusive shopping deals, thrilling competitions and shop-and-win promotions.
For families who want to dine out and enjoy the exciting entertainment programme, DSS will offer the ‘Eat and Play’ promotion. This guarantees free entertainment for families dining at participating outlets across both Ibn Battuta Mall and Mall of the Emirates.
Ibn Battuta Mall has also put together a programme of family shows and events, while shoppers spending AED300 or more at the mall will be entitled to a raffle coupon to enter a prize draw.
There will be five winners selected every week for six weeks and each winner will receive vouchers worth AED10,000 from Ibn Battuta Mall stores.
Music lovers are well catered for too at DSS, with the event’s famous Arabic concerts back this year by popular demand.
DSS runs until 20 August and is expected to be a big hit with residents and visitors alike.
But if you are just travelling through Dubai and don’t have time to visit one of the malls, you can alo head to Dubai Duty Free (DDF), which is offering discounts on select purchases as part of the DSS festival.
Online Duty Free shopping is available too, giving shoppers access to more than 3,000 products at a 5 percent discount during the DSS period.
