With so many exclusive bars and clubs at its disposal, it is little wonder that Dubai has become a playground for the rich and famous. It seems that barely a week goes by without a swanky new nightspot opening its doors to wealthy guests. The establishment that everybody is talking about at the moment is the plush VIP Room at the new JW Marriott Marquis Hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road. The resort itself was entered into the record books earlier this year for being the tallest hotel on the planet and it has already attracted plenty of attention since its launch in late 2012.Pamela Anderson recently paid the club a visit and she was clearly very impressed by what she saw. The former Baywatch star told tabloid! that she was delighted to be back in the UAE."It's nice to come back after five years and it's good to see everybody again," she was quoted as saying. The 45-year-old superstar is an animal rights activist these days and she is hoping to raise awareness of the issue in the Middle East. She is also a good friend of the founder of VIP Room - Jean Roch."I have always loved VIP Room. It's a great place and I am supporting my friend," she added. The VIP Room is an internationally-acclaimed St Tropez, Paris and Cannes Film Festival nightclub brand and the Dubai version opened for the first time in December 2012.Covering two floors, the 11,500-sq-ft venue is undoubtedly one of the trendiest places in the Gulf and the contemporary club features a spinning DJ booth and an upstairs private area with an outdoor terrace.Ms Anderson is not the only famous person to enjoy a night out in one of the VIP Room clubs, as the likes of Madonna, P Diddy, Kanye West, Rhianna and Johnny Depp have been known to frequent the luxurious nightspots in the past.Anybody staying at the wonderful JW Marriott Marquis should keep a close eye out for celebrities as they wander around the hotel, as you never know who you are going to see.
