Enriching Young Lives

Enriching Young Lives Around the World

Our groundbreaking Enriching Young Lives initiative has helped thousands of young people in underprivileged communities gain access to life-changing opportunities.

By partnering with respected charities in Asia, Africa and the Middle East, we ensure funding and related support reach children who are most in need.

While the nature of their work may differ, each of our charitable partners are united in a single cause – to enrich the lives of underprivileged young people through sustainable health and education initiatives.

By working together to improve the wellbeing and prospects of today’s children in need we can offer them a better tomorrow.

“Enriching Young Lives reflects our goal as an organisation to give back to the communities in which we operate. We take great pride in the fantastic progress being made by charity organisations we support who are helping underprivileged young people enjoy better lives.” - Rob Burns, CEO of The First Group

Food for Life Vrindavan (FFLV)

We are a long-term supporter and partner of Food for Life Vrindavan Society (FLVS), the humanitarian aid organisation that supports the poorest communities in the Vrindavan area to the south of New Delhi.

FLVS educates hundreds of children through its Sandipani Muni Schools project and also distributes around 66,000 meals and provides basic medical care to around 1,000 people every month. Our charitable donations help pay for vital food and educational supplies for impoverished children enrolled at the school and elsewhere in the region.

King’s Village, Ghana

The King's Village serves underprivileged communities in Northern Ghana. With the support of organisations including The First Group, the charity adopts an integrated approach to development in deprived communities, providing healthcare, education, water and sanitation, economic and social services designed to alleviate poverty.

Hanne Howard Fund

The Hanne Howard Fund (HHF) provides full care for 130 vulnerable children in Lenana, a slum community in Nairobi, Kenya. HHF provides education, daily meals, healthcare and shelter for some of the country’s most needy children. In 2012, we established The First Group University Scholarship in association with HHF, which gives the charity’s children the chance to attend top-tier universities and colleges in Nairobi.

The Kanu Heart Foundation

Retired Nigerian striker Nwankwo Kanu (‘Kanu’) established this charity in 1999 after he underwent lifesaving heart surgery. The Kanu Heart Foundation supports underprivileged children and young adults in Nigeria and other African countries who suffer from life-threatening heart conditions, helping to provide them with the required treatment.
