Dubai seals world?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s tallest hotel record

Dubai has added yet another world record to its list, this time in the form of the world’s tallest hotel. The JW Marriott Marquis Dubai, which opened for business last November, was recently officially recognised by the Guinness World Records. At 355 metres, the hotel is just 26 metres short of New York’s Empire State building. The hotel features two 77 storey twin towers, each with 804 rooms and 14 restaurant, bars and lounges.

The title adds to Dubai’s lengthy list of world records, including the world’s tallest building, highest restaurant, longest driverless train network, first man made marina and first man made island. The accolade will also serve to draw even more international attention to Dubai’s hotel market, which continues to go from strength to strength. The industry is currently enjoying huge success - great news for investors in the sector. The First Group is proud to be part of Dubai’s vibrant hotel industry, with it latest hotel offerings including Sky Central in TECOM and TFG Marina Hotel in Dubai Marina.
