Dubai set to stage My Music X event

A number of international acts will perform live in Dubai when the My Music X event gets underway next month.The likes of Sean Paul, ATB, Sander Kleinenberg, Judge Jules and Teddy Riley are all scheduled to take part in the festival between March 27th and 30th.Organisers of the musical extravaganza have also confirmed this week that global sensation PSY - the man behind the phenomenally popular "Gangnam-Style" record - will appear at My Music X.The South Korean pop sensation has earned global recognition, with his bizarre horse riding dance being viewed more than a billion times on the internet.This will be the first time PSY has performed in the Middle East.Dubai is building a strong reputation in the music industry and this festival is just one example of the city's ability to attract the biggest stars of the moment.Held at the Atlantis, Palm Jumeirah, the inaugural My Music X is likely to be a memorable occasion.DJ Bliss is a brand ambassador for the three-day show and he insisted that it will be a diverse affair."Dubai in particular is growing as a musical hub and melting pot for all kinds of music from a diverse range of styles and nationalities," he remarked."Today you are as likely to find hip hop artists performing in Arabic, Asian expatriate rock bands and local Emiratis and other Gulf nationals using modern musical techniques to express themselves and their culture."His opinion that Dubai has a strong musical scene is certainly backed up by the number of world-class concerts that are being lined up in the city in 2013.Kanye West and Slash - from Guns N' Roses fame - have already performed in the UAE this year and the likes of Justin Bieber and The Stone Roses are also expected to put on shows in the next few months.Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent and Nicki Minaj have all performed in Dubai in the last 12 months too.
