New outdoor ‘super venue’ launches in Dubai

A new al-fresco ‘super-venue’ has opened its doors in Dubai.

BASE, located in the Dubai Design District (d3), is a huge open-air space that is set to play host to some of the world’s top performing artists.

It promises immersive state-of-the-art sound, as well as light and pyrotechnic systems that enable audiences to experience something much more akin to a boutique festival or concert.

There’s also a premium lounge where BASE guests can relax in elegant surroundings and enjoy five-star service standards in an environment reminiscent of Las Vegas or Ibiza.

BASE features a multi-tiered adaptable layout to suit a vast range of productions and performances, all of which will take place under a sparkle of stars and city lights.

Several international artists are already set to make their Dubai debut at the venue in 2017 and beyond.

Some of the headliners that are expected at this new destination include global superstars Sebastian Ingrosso & Axwell, Calvin Harris, 50Cent, Justice, Marco Carola, Afrojack, Nicky Romero, Wiz Khalifa, Future, A$AP Rocky, Chuckie, Big Sean, Pharrell Williams and Fetty Wap, to name a few. 

The impressive roster will also feature a handful of A-list residencies, where the stars own the night; ushering in a new era of superstar performances on the Dubai social calendar.

Before the summer season kicks off, BASE will host a short series of events to showcase the new venue to all party goers, giving them a taste of what’s to come during the forthcoming party season.
