Al Murray set to appear in Dubai again

British comedian Al Murray is set to put on a live show in the UAE for the fourth time in his career later this year.

Murray - who is also known as the Pub Landlord - will appear at the Dubai World Trade Centre on October 4th and this will be his biggest performance in the Middle East to date.

His previous stand-up routines have taken place in smaller venues, but the huge demand for tickets has prompted organisers Done Events to arrange a much larger arena for the comedian's latest offering.

Murray managed to sell out his UAE-based shows in 2010, 2011 and 2012 and it is clear the people of Dubai have taken a real shine to his razor sharp wit and light hearted take on British patriotism.

"Having kept to an intimate theatre setting, running more and more sold out nights each year we now have to acknowledge that the demand has outgrown this format and so in this year we are offering the Middle East Pub Landlord fans a fantastic one night only opportunity where again we will see world order restored and pints of great humour served all evening," commented Done Events chief operating officer Thomas Ovesen.

Tickets for this leg of the Only Way is Epic Tour are now on sale and are priced at AED 300 (£53), while VIP packages are available for AED 500.

Murray is not the only popular British comedian set to grace the stage in the UAE this year.

Fellow funnyman Michael McIntyre will bring his routine to the Dubai World Trade Centre on June 7th and 8th.

Also organised by Done Events, the two shows have already sold out and Mr Ovesen is looking forward to what he thinks will be the biggest comedy event ever to be held in Dubai.

He added that attracting the likes of McIntyre further boosts the emirate's reputation as a leading events destination and the shows will be on par with big occasions staged in major cities across the globe.
