Vogue Fashion Dubai Experience scheduled for October 2013

The UAE will stage one of the most prestigious and stylish shows on the planet in October 2013, it has been confirmed.Famous fashion magazine Vogue will come to Dubai to host what is sure to be one of the most memorable events of the year.Before the acclaimed Vogue Fashion Dubai Experience gets underway, Franca Sozzani - who has been the editor-in-chief of the respected publication since 1988 - will make a special appearance at the Dubai Mall.She will be on hand this month to offer mentoring sessions, in which she will shed more light on the latest trends and she will also assess the work of a number of aspiring fashionistas.Organisers of the Dubai fashion extravaganza also revealed that some of the revenue generated by sales at the event will go to charitable organisation Dubai Cares.Although it is perhaps not mentioned in the same breath as Milan, Paris and New York just yet, Ms Sozzani believes Dubai has quickly become a major style capital."The Dubai Mall is a fashion world. Vogue Italia is the fashion magazine. To make an event together means to welcome all the people who love fashion, and also to give an opportunity to young talents to show their creativity and their talent," she remarked."We are really delighted to participate in such an incredible project."The emirate is full of designer boutiques and is home to some of the biggest malls on the planet, so it makes sense to hold such an important event in this part of the world.Dubai has attracted a number of top designers in recent years and there have been numerous fashion shows held in the city - some of which were staged in unique surroundings.Last month, a catwalk was laid out on a Dubai Metro carriage and models were able to strut their stuff while the train was moving around the city.It is innovative ideas like this that has helped Dubai become a trend setter in the fast-moving fashion world.
