Dubai Investments Park has a strong 2012

Dubai Investments Park (DIP) had a year to remember in 2012, as hundreds of companies secured commercial space in the area.Leaders of Dubai Investments PJSC - the owner of the park - said there had been an 87 per cent increase in the demand for allotments throughout the 12-month period.Overall, 290 firms set up a base at DIP, which took the total number of corporate residents to 2,715.Offices and showrooms covering a total area of 1.4 million sq ft were rented out, much to the delight of the park's general manager Omar Mesma.He said the commercial hub is quickly reaching its full capacity and the organisation is focusing on upgrading the facilities."Investor confidence has returned to Dubai in a major way, which is underlined by the progressive changes taking place in the public and private sectors," he remarked."With businesses looking to take calculated risks, based on the lessons learned from 2008, their focus is on using the best available resources in the most optimal manner."Mr Mesma added that DIP offers "a feasible environment for companies to thrive".A multitude of international companies have recently decided to set up a base in the UAE, as many see the Gulf as a fast growing market with plenty of potential.There has been a lot of talk about Dubai's growing reputation as a global business hub and it is fair to suggest that the government has helped matters with some corporate-friendly policies.The emirate's uncomplicated tax system is also a big plus point for enterprises.Clearly, office space is in high demand in the UAE and the same can be said of residential properties.A number of studies have shown that 2012 was a great year to hold property investments in Dubai, as prices and rental rates soared.The Dubai Land Department recently revealed the number of real estate transactions completed in 2012 was up by eight per cent on the previous year, as investors from all over the world returned to the market.The First Group can help you find properties for sale in Dubai
