Almost 1,000 firms will take part in the next Index International Design Exhibition in the Middle East. The event is the 22nd of its kind and will take place between Monday September 24th and Thursday September 27th at the Dubai World Trade Centre. In total, 45 countries will participate, with interest in the international community piqued by the strong business support offered by the emirate.Frederique Maurell, event director, said that Index - and Dubai - was becoming a key platform for companies to share their innovative products with consumers in the region."We have been receiving increasing interest from local, regional and international companies," Mr Maurell said."It is … another sign that Dubai still represents the regional hub for the interior and fit-out industry. The 22nd edition of Index is once again shaping up to be the 'must attend' design show for industry professionals from across the MENA region," Mr Maurell added. The list of companies attending the trade show is extensive and includes some of the biggest names in interior design, such as LED World, Poly Products, Delta and Johnson Tiles. The expo would be perfect for investors looking to get the most out of their Dubai properties - particularly those with an interest in green design and sustainability.Commenting on the huge potential the expo has, Isaac George, sales manager at Mac Al Gurg, said: "Index International Design Exhibition offers us an incredible opportunity to showcase our designs and network with professionals from the interior design industry."Dubai is renowned for its numerous trade shows and business events, and the city has no trouble attracting businesspeople from some of the world's largest companies. But its consumer-focused shows are also extremely popular.
