The International Hotel Group (IHG) has been announced as the winner of best city accommodation at the Kenya Tourism Awards. And after winning the award, key figures from the company expressed their interest in further developing its presence in the country. General and regional manager of IHG Africa, Karl Hala, told Capital FM that planning has already taken place for further growth in the country. Furthermore, he said that having more credible hotel companies in Kenya will only benefit its tourism sector. "Kenya is attracting more investors in the sector as a result of the potential witnessed. We are seeing new hotels coming up and even though they pose competition we believe it is healthy and we are positioning ourselves to take advantage of the new developments," Mr Hala told the news provider.
