Guns N' Roses icon Slash is set to perform in a live show in Dubai next year, it has been confirmed.
The legendary guitarist will join Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators in a special concert to mark the end of the Dubai Shopping Festival on January 31st.
Slash - whose band became world famous for hits like Sweet Child O' Mine and Paradise City - has legions of fans across the planet and the Dubai Tennis Stadium is likely to be full to the brim when he takes to the stage in the New Year.
As well as being an integral part of one of the greatest rock groups of all time, Slash also co-founded super-group Velvet Revolver and has launched a number of solo albums too.
He has featured in countless polls as being among the best guitarists in history and is a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee.
The gig is being organised by M4 Events, which has been responsible for a number of high-profile music concerts in the UAE over the years.
This is not the only live show taking place in the UAE on January 31st, as Gulf News reports that US rap sensation Kanye West is scheduled to perform in neighbouring Abu Dhabi.
With two amazing events being held simultaneously, it just goes to show how the UAE has suddenly become the epicentre for world music.
Bands and solo artists know that there is far more money to be made in the Gulf, which is why most performers now include Dubai or Abu Dhabi in their world tour itineraries.
Slash and Kanye West are two of many world-class acts to grace the UAE next year and the likes of Deep Purple, The Script and The Stone Roses have all lined up shows.
Of course, with so many gigs scheduled, hotel and apartment owners in Dubai can expect high occupancy rates throughout the course of the year, as fans of each band flood into the UAE.
