Former world number one Tiger Woods has targeted victory at this week's prestigious Abu Dhabi Golf Championship. Woods has endured a difficult time of things over the last few years. However, the American has said that he is determined to start 2012 in style by winning the upcoming tournament. Having won the Chevron World Championship at the end of 2011, Woods appears intent on building on that victory. "I'm looking forward to this year," he explained to reporters in the emirate. "That's something that I have to say, because I was able to prepare and get fit enough to prepare last year and towards the end of the year." Woods added that by winning the Chevron tournament, he demonstrated to himself that the recent changes he has made to his golf swing are beginning to pay off. The Abu Dhabi Golf Championship is just one of a number of high-profile sporting events set to be staged in the emirate this year. In fact, England and Pakistan are set to faceoff in Abu Dhabi later this week, with England hoping to level three-match series.
