Small businesses in Kenya are continuing to grow because of the use of social media, according to one expert. In news that could interest Kenya property investors looking for a thriving economy in the area, Samuel Kiragu said that the use of sites such as Twitter and Facebook has helped his Bowling Green business increase customer interest. According to allafrica.com, the website now gets around 5,600 clicks per month as people head onto the page through social media. Mr Kiragu told the news provider: "Social media should direct traffic to your website where there is more information on the product. Facebook and Twitter should be used as a mini customer service office." It comes after the World Bank said that the Kenyan economy could be set for growth in 2012 because of improvements in technology, transport and agriculture. Wolfgang Fengler told Business Daily Africa that Kenya's two advantages are its people and location.
