Kenya is one of the investment hotspots of Africa, according to new research published yesterday (January 24th). In news that could interest Kenya property investors, the Economist Intelligence survey said that by 2016, all institutional investors are expecting to have some exposure in the Africa market. Furthermore, nearly one-third are expecting to move around five per cent of their fund value to the continent, with Nigeria and Kenya topping the list, vanguardngr.com reports. The report said that there is still plenty of work that needs to be done ahead of this, however. "Africa's biggest challenge is to overcome deeply entrenched perceptions. But a striking shift that can be observed among investors is a change in focus from macroeconomic and political worries towards more technical market concerns," it added. It comes after Samuel Kiragu told allafrica.com that social media is helping small businesses grow in Kenya as the country's economy looks to thrive further.
