An entertainment complex is to be built in Dubai as the city continues to expand its hospitality offerings. The Al Habtoor Group will build the new complex on the site of the current Metropolitan Hotel, which is being demolished to create space. In news that could interest those considering Dubai property investment, three new luxurious hotels will also be constructed - including more than 1,600 rooms and suites. Khalaf Al Habtoor, chairman of the group, told the Dubai Chronicle that tourism is continuing to grow across the region. "Parting with the Metropolitan Hotel, our first hospitality venture is not easy as it is filled with great memories, but I always believe in looking forward," he explained. "The tourism industry in the United Arab Emirates and Dubai in particular, is constantly and steadily growing, and we have to be prepared to cater for the growing need of its visitors and residents alike." Tourism could also increase after Evander Holyfield nominated Dubai for a superfight between Floyd Mayweather Jnr and Manny Pacquiao.
