Abuja's light railway project will be completed this year, according to latest estimates published by ministers last week. The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) confirmed that the light railway project will be completed by the end of 2012 as it looks to improve transportation in the city. In further news that could interest people considering Abuja property investment, minister Ahmed Wadada told the Daily Times that more projects will be started to improve transport even further. "The minister and members of his administration are working hard to ensure that good standard of living is provided to the residents of the FCT," he explained. "The FCT is becoming more responsive to the current situation in the country today and as such this administration is fighting hard to brace up to the challenges." It comes after the minister of health, professor Onyebuchi Chukwu, said earlier this month that 370,000 new positions will be created for young people and women across the country because of a fuel subsidy withdrawal.
