Organisers of this month's Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship have announced that a record number of volunteers have made themselves available to help at the prestigious event. Added to this, it is expected that the seventh edition of the event will attract its largest crowd yet, which in part explains the need for additional volunteers. The 600-strong group of volunteers will come from all over the globe and will take on a variety of challenging roles, including marshalls, stewards, walking scorerboard holders and leaderboard operators. Jean Iggo, chief marshall and volunteer co-ordinator, commented: "The response for volunteers this year has been absolutely fantastic with more signing up than ever before." He added that at past events, volunteers have "always thoroughly enjoyed their experience and this year's team is really enthusiastic to get started". Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship is scheduled to take start on January 26th, finishing on the 29th.
