The future of Dubai real estate is bright, according to the new CEO of Jones Lang LaSalle for the Middle East and North Africa. In an exclusive interview with Dubai’s Gulf News, recently appointed Alan Robertson, said the outlook for Dubai and the wider UAE’s property market is highly positive.
“I haven’t seen anything like Dubai’s fast growth in real estate and I cannot think of anything comparable. The quality and scale of build is stunning. The best schemes here are as good as the best properties in the United States — world class,” Robertson commented. “Although there are short-term challenges, the world-class assets built in Dubai are for the long term, and should give it a good competitive advantage going forward.”
Robertson’s view is matched by many of the industry’s top experts, who are predicting that Dubai will ‘perform strongly over the medium to long term’ thanks to its central and strategic location between East and West. According to Robertson, Jones Lang LaSalle has also witnessed a 50% rise in property transactions in the UAE to date in 2011.
