A new state-of-the-art health centre is being constructed in Al Barsha. The Dhs 50 million project, which is due to be completed by mid 2012, will serve the surrounding communities of New Dubai. His Excellency Qadhi Saeed Al Murooshid, Director General of the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) recently laid the foundation stone for the development, located in Al Barsha 2.
"At the DHA it is our endeavour to address the medical needs of our population and we undertook this project to cater to the medical needs of the population living in this area. We have 16 health clinics spread out across the Emirate of Dubai,” explained Al Murooshid.
The surrounding area has a population of approximately 60,000 people. This includes the New Dubai business zone of Tecom, which is home to four of The First Group’s premier hotel apartment developments.
The new centre will have an emergency section, family clinics, specialist clinics, specialist and dental centres, maternity and child-care, x-ray and laboratory, health screening services and a pharmacy.
