Opportunities for US businesses to invest in Kenya have been identified in a recent state visit.
Scott Eisner of the US Chamber of Commerce recently led a delegation to Kenya, Ethiopia and Ghana.
Following the trip, Mr Eisner stated that each of the countries offer market potential for infrastructure investment.
How We Made It in Africa reported that he said their returns are exponential, due to the market size and the fact that it has not been exploited like other parts of the world.
"I think it's a much more manageable return on investment," he added.
"Companies and private equity firms are noticing their [rate of investment in Asia] is not the size it once was and they can invest in infrastructure, agro-processing [in Africa] and see exponential returns on investment that others might not see."
Mr Eisner noted that investing in Kenya is looking increasingly attractive thanks to the stability enacted by the latest coalition government.
