Dubai International Airport has seen passenger numbers continue to increase, new figures have shown.
The airport's figures revealed that February saw passenger numbers increase 5.2 per cent on the previous year.
Data from the report showed that 3.83 million people pass through the airport during the month, while aircraft activity increased by 7.2 per cent to 26,464.
Paul Griffiths, chief executive officer of Dubai Airports, said: "Dubai International continues to achieve consistent growth even during a period of global turbulence which is affecting the travel plans of millions of people.
"We are pleased that Dubai is able to provide a level of consistent service during this time of uncertainty."
The report showed that the number of visitors to Dubai from Western Europe increased by 30,999, while passenger number from Russia increased by 22,286.
Date from the study also showed that freight activity at the airport also increased in the first quarter of 2011.
