Air traffic in the UAE increased by 10.3 per cent last month, compared with figures from the previous year.

The UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) has reported that total air traffic movements in January 2011 were 57,227 with a daily average of 1,846.

Dubai was ranked as the busiest region with 26,134 movements and Abu Dhabi ranked third with 8,390 behind general flights over the region.

Local flights between UAE airports were in the fifth position with 4,003 movements.

Commenting on the January report, H.E.
