India-based Fortis Healthcare has set out its vision for helping Ras Al Khaimah's RAK Hospital achieve medical standards or excellence.
The company was commenting following its deal to set up a pediatric interventional cardiac unit at RAK Hospital, imtj.com reported.
Fortis said the hospital was also set to extend its portfolio of cardiac care services by adding an array of cardiac surgeries.
"Our focus is to set new standards in medical excellence and compassionate patient care, not just in India but also beyond," commented Ashish Bhatia of Fortis Healthcare.
"We look forward to serving the patients of Emirates and Africa. RAK Hospital will establish Ras Al Khaimah as a destination of choice for medical value travel."
The company also spoke of its vision to become a global healthcare service provider.
According to imtj.com, Fortis last year agreed to buy the healthcare assets of Hong Kong-based Quality HealthCare Asia, as well as a 30 per cent stake in Dental Corp, Australia and New Zealand's largest operator of dental practices, among other deals.
