Ras Al Khaimah-based RAK Ceramics, the world's largest ceramic tile company, has forecast revenue growth of up to 15 per cent over the next two years.
Manish Joshi, chief financial officer at RAK Ceramics, stated that the company had adequate capacity to meet its sales targets and grow revenues within the existing capacity "by between ten or 15 per cent".
Speaking to The National, he also said that emerging markets would be the company's main targets for growth in the coming years.
In addition to its base in Ras al Khaimah, RAK Ceramics has operations in Bangladesh, Iran, China, Sudan and India and a global production capacity of 117 million square metres of tiles per year.
"There's a lot of sustenance from the emerging market," said Mr Joshi.
"If India's tile consumption reaches half of China, it means the India market will grow by 770 million square metres."
The company has said that about three out of every four tiles laid in India come from RAK Ceramics.
