Moelis & Company, the New York-based investment bank, has announced the establishment of a new office in Dubai from which it plans to run its Middle East and North African (MENA) operations.
The company confirmed it is already active in MENA, providing independent financial advisory services to governments and corporates.
It said that the new Dubai office, its seventh globally, would provide the opportunity to further extend its capabilities across the region.
The office launch follows the recent authorisation for Moelis & Company to conduct regulated activities in the Dubai International Financial Centre.
"We expect MENA to experience a high rate of economic growth, increasing financial markets activity and significant cross-border capital flows for a sustained period of time," commented Mark Aedy, head of EMEA Investment Banking at the company.
"We are looking forward to working with clients in the region on financial transactions and strategic initiatives that add long-term value."
