Dunamis Capital, a provider of investment banking and private wealth management services to small and medium enterprises (SMEs), has announced that it will shortly set up offices in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC).
The company, which targets emerging markets and their related investment communities, said it had successfully secured its Dubai Financial Services Authority licence towards the end of last year.
"There is considerable potential for growth in the Middle East, Africa and Asia," commented David Sumner, group chief executive officer of Dunamis Capital.
"The quality of businesses we come across is high and there is a major opportunity for stakeholders to benefit from strong demographics, compelling market drivers and sustainable returns on investment."
He also stated that both UK and US PLCs regard such emerging markets as key expansion destinations "as well as areas to access capital".
Dunamis said it would also look to establish its Asia/Middle East Growth Company Fund later this year.
