Hotels in Dubai are in high demand this festive season, with visitors set to flock to the city to spend Christmas and New Year. That’s according to one of the city’s hoteliers, Naeem Darkazally, Vice President of Sales and revenue at Rotana Hotels, which manages 13 properties across the emirate.
"We're seeing heavy demand coming from traditional markets, such as the German market, the UK, the Russians, the CIS [the Commonwealth of Independent States]. Also there's a good demand from leisure groups from China and India,” Darkazally told Dubai’s Gulf News. He also stated that bookings are up by 25% for the Christmas period and the first week of January compared to the same period last year. This story is echoed across many hotels in the city, which are already fully booked ahead of the festive period. The month of January will also see the launch of the Dubai Shopping Festival which is set to have a highly positive impact on Dubai’s hotel industry.
