Dubai's Palm Strip Shopping Mall has reported a higher shopper footfall during the first ten days of Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) 2011.
The mall attributed the increase to the DSF-related deals and discounts offered by its retailers that have included handing out raffle coupons to shoppers for a chance to win Nissan cars every day during the festival.
"DSF is one of the most popular and successful events across the globe and has played a significant role in raising Dubai's profile within the international arena and promoting it as one of the leading retail destinations of the world," commented Deepak Chawla, operations manager at Dubai Investment Properties, the company behind Palm Strip Shopping Mall.
"The number of visitors at Palm Strip has definitely increased since DSF began with retail outlets registering higher sales and footfall due to the DSF offers and deals."
It was also announced that the mall will continue running DSF promotions until February 20th 2011, with shoppers who spend AED 200 at any of the participating retail outlets becoming eligible to enter and win 41 Nissan cars under DSF's Nissan Grand Raffle promotion.
