The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has said that it expects to welcome more than 20,000 participating dentists from across the world during the UAE International Dental Conference and Arab Dental Exhibition next month (February 1st-3rd).
In addition, it was revealed that there will be a three-day, pre-conference event known as the Dubai World Dental Meeting (DWDM) where dentists will be able to learn and participate in hands-on courses.
"The DWDM program is designed for dentists who aspire to improve themselves and develop their skills in order to meet the commitments of their everyday professional life," commented conference chairman Dr Nasser Malik.
It was also announced that the number of speakers at the conference is due to exceed 110, covering more than 105 lectures, eight workshops and 20 advanced speciality courses.
The news comes after DHA last month signed a memorandum of understanding with the World Health Organization (WHO) which aims to develop sustainable strategies for the prevention and control of priority health problems in the emirate.
