The hotel industry is buzzing as Eid Al Adha descends on Dubai. Many are anticipating 100% occupancy during Muslim holiday, according to a report in Dubai’s Gulf News. Ahead of the festive period, a large number of hotels in the emirate were already sold out. In the run up to the holiday, Dubai’s hotels were also busy, recording occupancy levels of close to 80% during the month of October, according to new figures released by HotStats MENA Chain Hotels Market. The survey by TRI Hospitality Consulting, which has over 30 years of experience in the Middle East, also predicted that levels would reach full occupancy during the Eid holiday. Most bookings were coming from the GCC, Russia, Greece, Iran, the Indian sub-continent and parts of Europe, Gulf News reported.
