Abu Dhabi is hoping to see a boost in tourist numbers after the launch of new flights into the emirate.Carrier Arik Air has announced that new flights will see tourists able to fly into Abu Dhabi from West African International airport.Three non-stop weekly flights will now operate between Lagos and the UAE capital.It is also hoped that the news will mean economic growth, said Michael Arumemi-Ikhide, Arik Air’s group chief executive."We look to more growth on the route between West Africa and Abu Dhabi travellers and business," he commented."Abu Dhabi has continued to become an increasingly important hub for business and tourism. We look forward to working with the Abu Dhabi Airports Company on further developing our services to travellers from the Abu Dhabi International Airport."The news comes after a number of airlines have announced new flight schedules improving transport links between the UAE and India, China and the Czech Republic.
