Istirad FZC, a trading company specialising in building materials, has officially launched its services in the UAE through registration with the Ras Al Khaimah Free Trade Zone.

According to AMEinfo.com, Istirad is looking to become one of the biggest building materials suppliers in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

It was also noted that the company name "Istirad" is an Arabic word meaning ''Import'' - a simple title that aims to describe the role and mission of the company.

Haitham Al Turk, managing partner at Istirad, commented: "Our dealing with the suppliers and producers from all over the world is based on creating partnerships allowing us to provide our customers with the best quality supported by the best factory price, which in turn opens for us the way to increase our market share guaranteeing high customer satisfaction, and eventually paving the way for Istirad to becoming the biggest supplier in the region"

Mr Al Turk is the co-founder of the business with fellow managing partner Khaled Shamma.
