Henderson International, the new operator of Al Hamra Yacht Club and Marina in Ras Al Khaimah, has confirmed its intention to continue investing "heavily" in the emirate.
Toby Haws, who was recently appointed as manager to oversee the company's upgrading of the marina and the creation of a new yacht club environment, suggested that a wide range of projects were under development for the site.
Speaking to AMEinfo.com, he said: "We have extensive plans for increasing both the facilities and value added service bertholders, visitors and future yacht club members will receive.
"We are investing heavily in both yachting and Ras Al Khaimah, as together they make the most ideal cruising and racing environment, as anyone who comes to visit can testify."
It was also revealed that Henderson is currently upgrading the marina to cater for yachts up to 50 metres in length while further facilities including a fuel dock, slipway, swimming pool, chandlery and various boutique shops are due to open later this year.
Al Hamra Yacht Club and Marina is situated on the north-east corner of the Al Hamra lagoon in Ras Al Khaimah and was originally developed as part of the Al Hamra Real Estate project.
