A number of investors could be encouraged to see that Dubai is set to see its profile boosted by a new sports sponsorship deal.
The emirate has been announced as the new sponsor of the Dewhurst Stakes horse race at Newmarket in the UK on October 16th this year, the Press Association reported.
It means the Dewhurst Stakes, widely regarded as one of the most important juvenile contests of the sport's flat season, will now share the same sponsor as the world's richest race, the Dubai World Cup.
John Ferguson, advisor to Dubai ruler His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, told the news provider: "The Dewhurst is traditionally the single most significant two-year-old race in Europe and is therefore a unique opportunity to showcase Dubai's passion for horseracing."
The annual Dewhurst Stakes is a seven furlong race, which was first established in 1875.
Last year jockey Ryan Moor took the title riding Beethoven, wrestling the crown from
Kevin Manning who had won the previous three events.
