Consumers in the UAE continue to be among the world's most optimistic, with the country ranking in the top ten of the Nielsen Global Consumer Confidence Index for another quarter.
The UAE has maintained its first quarter inclusion in the top ten following the latest index for Q2, with 64 per cent of consumers stating that their personal finances are either in an excellent or good state for the next 12 months, Emirates Business 24/7 reported.
It was also revealed that the number of UAE consumers concerned about their job security has fallen from 20 per cent in the first quarter of the year to 17 per cent in the second quarter.
Meanwhile, 58 per cent said they felt job prospects in the UAE over the next 12 months are either excellent or good.
The news comes after HSBC's Small Business Confidence Monitor last week showed that business confidence among small and medium-sized enterprises in the UAE is currently above the global average.
