Dubai Studio City (DSC), a dedicated film and broadcast production free zone, has hosted semi-final judging sessions for the International Emmy Awards in collaboration with The Frame, a DSC-based film production company.
The sessions, which were held on behalf of the world-renowned International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences from June 30th to July 1st, featured a range of distinguished media professionals who cast judgements on various programme types for the awards.
Jamal Al Sharif, managing director of DSC and Dubai Media City, commented: "We are pleased to partner with The Frame to host the semi-final judging sessions for the International Emmy Awards. This partnership will support our vision in promoting Dubai as an international destination for the filming industry."
The International Emmy Awards are divided into 15 categories and are given in recognition of international programmes produced and initially broadcast outside of the US.
DSC is a part of TECOM Investments' Dubai media cluster and comprises fully equipped sound stages, a 3.5 million sq ft back lot for outdoor shooting, commercial offices, pre-built studios, a business centre and post-production studios.
