Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority (DSOA) has confirmed that 3W Networks, one of the region's premier systems integrators, is to set up a Regional Engineering Centre of Excellence within its integrated free zone technology park.
3W, which specialises in providing turnkey communication and safety and security solutions to the oil and gas, power utilities, telecommunications, transport and fibre optic infrastructure sectors, will combine high value systems design and engineering, round-the-clock technical assistance and product assembly at the 1,350 sq m office premises at DSO.
The facility will also host product specialists, engineers and technicians who will provide customised solutions to client businesses and organisations.
Shahla Ahmed Abdul Razak of DSOA said: "DSO is considered an attractive location by many multinational companies in the field of technology. Our excellent infrastructure and facilities which is totally focused on providing top quality services to clients, is no doubt one of our major competitive advantages."
Meanwhile, 3W chief executive Walid Gamali noted that the UAE continues to offer "numerous business opportunities" that the company will aim to exploit through its new premises.
The DSO free zone is 100 per cent owned by the government of Dubai and is located on Emirates road.
