Alliance Business Centers Network (ABCN) has announced plans to expand its presence in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) after appointing one of its Dubai-based executives as president for the MENA region.
Sherif Medhat Kamel has been promoted to the position, which will require him to use Dubai as a platform and regional office for supporting activities in the entire region.
"We have set up our first business centre in the region in the emirate of Dubai to utilise its vast business potential and raw investments opportunities," said Mr Kamel.
"Being the central point for commercial activities in the region, Dubai would represent the ideal launching pad that allows aggressive plans to be implemented."
Alliance Business, which is a leading provider of executive office space, virtual offices and conference facilities with over 650 locations in 40 countries around the world, said it aimed to establish a number of new business centres in MENA, with Abu Dhabi one of its top priorities.
In 2008, the Dubai centre was named the "Best Business Centre" by the Alliance Network.
