The Dubai International Academic City (DIAC) has highlighted its success as a leading institute for higher education in the country at an annual conference in the United States.
Speaking at the NAFSA 2010 conference and expo in Kansas City, US, Hasan Makansi, director of partner development at TECOM Investments of which DIAC is a member, told NAFSA delegates of the current success of international higher education at DIAC.
He also promoted DIAC as a great base for international universities looking to expand into Dubai and the United Arab Emirates.
Mr Makansi said: "Our commitment is to support the international higher education sector, while providing international universities with a sustainable model for their expansion and a platform to serve the region."
Approximately 15,000 students are currently enrolled at DIAC, studying courses from 30 international institutions from 13 different countries including America, Singapore, Australia and the UK.
The success of DIAC comes after Abu Dhabi announced plans to raise its higher education standards to an international level.
