The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has stressed its aim of renewing international certifications for quality standards within its hospitals.
Speaking at a meeting of DHA senior staff, director-general Qadhi Saeed Al Murooshid confirmed renewing such recognitions had become a necessity, not a reversible option, WAM News Agency reported.
He said that maintaining standards in hospitals and affiliated health centres was vital to ensuring an effective and integrated health system.
Mr Al Murooshid added that such checks would ensure consistency with the government's overall vision for Dubai.
"He also underlined the importance of working hard throughout the coming months according to methodological plans across all divisions and departments in hospitals while continuing self-evaluation to ensure the implementation of plans without delay or slow execution," observed the news agency.
Meanwhile, it was reported this week that DP World, one of the largest marine terminal operators in the world, has launched a networking initiative to increase communication between Dubai's key trade enablers.
