DP World looks to expand Dubai's marine trade

DP World, one of the largest marine terminal operators in the world, has launched a networking initiative to increase communication between Dubai's key trade enablers.

More than 100 representatives from the trade and logistics industry met at a breakfast meeting hosted by DP World at Jebel Ali Port yesterday (June 7th) aimed at developing the synergy of Dubai's trade network.

The event, which was also attended by Dubai Customs, Dubai Trade and other government authorities, is one in a series of initiatives being planned by the port operator on a regular monthly basis with the aim of bringing together port users, traders and logistics companies to network and exchange views on emerging business trends.

"Dubai excels in creating an open trading environment," said Mohammed Al Muallem, managing director at DP World.

"Our ports, customs and free zone authorities have always worked hard to stay ahead of the curve to meet the requirements of their customers. We are confident such gatherings will bring greater synergy in our quest for continuous growth."ADNFCR-2019-ID-19825473-ADNFCR
